A surgical technician or technologist is a health professional who a member of the team in any operating room. Surgical technologists are responsible for preparing surgical instruments before procedures and maintaining sterilization throughout operations. Surgical technologists work with other members of operating teams, like surgeons and nurses, to assist with operations.
